ABOUT P1: THE DRUMLINE/ THE ENSEMBLE is an independent, community-based percussion ensemble and drumline comprised of high school percussionists from the Greater Houston area. P1 was created to give young players from varying backgrounds and programs an opportunity to perform in a percussion ensemble or drumline that excels in both education and performance. By receiving excellent instruction with attention given to technique, detail, and repetition, the students are able to experience improvement of skills and abilities through performances at many varied venues.
